SAM KEMPER

Fitness Trainer and Nutrition Coach

My life has always pointed toward fitness training. I was an accomplished young runner until an ACL injury at 12 temporarily derailed my path. That setback ultimately taught me the importance of smarter pacing and recovery. After several years, I returned to running stronger than ever, achieving personal bests of 34:35 in the 5-mile, 17:46 in the 5K, and 2:09 in the 800m by age 17.

Although running remained a passion, scoliosis and a few repeat injuries led me toward strength training. I became a Certified Personal Trainer at 19 and shifted my focus to balance, lifting, and power development. When COVID disrupted my college experience, personal training evolved from a part-time job into my full professional focus. Since 2020, I’ve expanded my expertise (NC, VC, SNC, PES3) and became a Licensed Massage Therapist.

I’ve since worked full time as a trainer with American University, Sport & Health, and Onelife Fitness in Washington, DC. These experiences confirmed my lifelong commitment to the field, leading me to pursue Applied Exercise Science & Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney. I’m excited for this next chapter and will continue training clients through in-person programming and virtual sessions. If you’re interested in working together, feel free to reach out—I’ll respond as soon as I can.
